Course Duration

The estimated time to complete the course is:

Entry Requirements

We have made this program accessible to as many suitable candidates as possible. You will need to:

  • Hold BSB50920 Diploma of Project Management (or superseded equivalent versions); OR
  • Two (2) years equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience in a senior project or program management role in an enterprise.

And we recommend that you have:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Appropriate technology to study online and the motivation to learn independently.

Nationally Recognised Training (NRT)

  • BSB61218 Advanced Diploma of Program Management is a NRT Qualification recognised across Australia.
  • On successful completion of the 12 units of competency in this course, you will be issued with an Australian Qualification Framework (AQF6) Qualification and Record of Results.
  • Successful attainment of the Advanced Diploma Program Management will allow for credit in AQF qualifications in accordance with relevant training package rules and recognition requirements.

Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM)

  • Depending on the depth and breadth of project management expertise displayed at assessment, the workplace evidence submitted as part of the Advanced Diploma may be used to satisfy the student assessment component for recognition under one of three certification levels with the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM)^. Certified Practicing Project Manager (CPPM) or higher (CPSPM or CPPD) status.
  • Successful graduates may also apply for AIPM Continuing Professional Development points^

Project Management Institute (PMI®)

  • Certified Project Management Professionals (PMP®) with the Project Management Institute (PMI®), may be eligible to apply for Professional Development Units on completion of the Advanced Diploma of Project Management.^

  • This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to undertake procurement in projects.

BSBPMG631 Manage program delivery

  • This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to manage program delivery.  It ensures that the program is moving towards the accomplishment of it’s vision and the attainment of its expected benefits.

BSBPMG632 Manage program risk

  • This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to manage risks that might affect program deliverables and organisational objectives. It covers directing the planning and management of program risks, managing risks to the overall program and assessing risk management outcomes for the program and the organisation.

BSBPMG633 Provide leadership for the program

  • This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide leadership for the program. It covers leadership strategies to motivate and inspire individuals and organisations to work constructively toward attainment of program benefits through consolidating program vision, managing risks and supporting staff.

BSBPMG634 Facilitate stakeholder engagement

  • This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to facilitate stakeholder engagement in a program. It includes working with stakeholders through effective communication to achieve desired program benefits.

BSBPMG635 Implement program governance

  • This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to establish and implement governance requirements to ensure effective program management. It includes implementing systems and processes for decision-making, management systems, compliance and program support.

BSBPMG636 Manage Benefits

  • This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to manage the attainment of program benefits. It includes ensuring that benefits are identified and realised when and as expected.

AHCBUS615 Implement a monitoring, evaluation and reporting program

  • This unit 0f competency describes the skills and knowledge required to implement a monitoring, evaluation and reporting program.

BSBPMG630 Enable program execution

  • This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to establish parameters and enable a program to be undertaken effectively. It includes establishing both what the program will accomplish and how it will do so.

  • This unit describes the skills required to perform market analysis, development and cost options, and justify for a recommended business solution.
