Modules

Students upon successful completion of these three modules of competency in this short course will receive a Certificate of Completion.

1. Introduction to Australia’s primary healthcare system

This module introduces the structure of the healthcare system in Australia. You will be introduced to quality improvement methodology and the role of the healthcare receptionist in quality improvement initiatives.

2. Communication

This module introduces a variety of concepts around communication in a healthcare setting, including verbal and non-verbal communication, written communication and secure messaging.

3. Understanding risk and compliance

This module introduces the concepts of risk identification and management as an integral part of the role of a receptionist in a healthcare practice.

There are 3 Tutorials and 3 online self-marking quizzes to complete.
