Workplace Rights Training Course

The Workplace Rights Training course has been developed in conjunction with the rail industry,  Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink, to help employees understand their workplace rights, responsibilities and entitlements. The course provides practical information about the Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink Enterprise Agreement 2025 (EA) and the Fair Work Act 2009, including how these operate together to support fair and compliant workplaces.

This course has been developed specifically for employees of Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink covered by the Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink Enterprise Agreement 2025. This includes permanent full-time, permanent part-time, and casual employees across all roles and work groups

On completion participants will gain a greater understanding of workplace protections, conditions of employment, employee obligations and available support processes.

During this course, you will explore:

  • Lesson 1: Understand that the EA contains rights and responsibilities for both the employer and employees.
  • Lesson 2: Rights and Responsibilities – both sides of the agreement
  • Lesson 3: Consultation – working together through change
  • Lesson 4: Resolving disputes.

By the end of the course, you will have a stronger understanding of your workplace rights and responsibilities and where to access information and support when needed and receive a Certificate of Completion.
