NSW: VET in Schools Program!

We’re excited to offer students in New South Wales the opportunity to gain valuable skills and qualifications through our VET in Schools Program. With the backing of the NSW Department of Education, our program is designed to help student succeed in their studies and future career. Below, you’ll find important information about funding, eligibility, examinations, and work placement requirements.

NSW Department of Education EVET Funding

Our program is supported by the NSW Department of Education through the EVET funding initiative. This funding helps ensure that students have access to high-quality vocational education and training.

NSW Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for EVET funding, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Available to students in Year 10 to Year 12
  • Only one subsidy per student per year is available
  • For multiple NESA VET courses under the EVET program, the subsidy will apply to the course with the highest fee

NSW HSC Examination Available (for some courses)

Our courses are designed to prepare you for success in your Higher School Certificate (HSC) examinations:

  • All our courses (except Certificate III in Business) have an external written Higher School Certificate examination
  • HSC examination is optional for non-ATAR students
  • Completed Certificate III qualifications may be used for university admission at some universities

 

NSW Work Placement Requirements

Work placement is a crucial part of our VET in Schools Program, providing you with hands-on experience in your chosen field:

  • Work placement is a mandatory HSC requirement
  • Required hours vary by course
  • Must be completed in an industry-related environment
  • Part-time work in an appropriate workplace may count toward work placement requirements
