Learn to deliver care based on a personalised plan that respects the client’s preferences, needs, and rights.

Develop skills to support clients in making choices, building confidence, and participating in decision-making.
CHCCCS040 – Support independence and wellbeing
Understand how to promote physical, emotional, and social wellbeing through daily support and encouragement.
CHCCCS041 – Recognise healthy body systems
Gain knowledge of basic human anatomy and physiology to monitor and report changes in health status.
CHCCOM005 – Communicate and work in health or community services
Learn effective communication techniques for working with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
CHCDIV001 – Work with diverse people
Explore how to work respectfully with individuals from diverse cultural, religious, and linguistic backgrounds.
CHCLEG001 – Work legally and ethically
Understand the legal and ethical responsibilities of support workers, including confidentiality and duty of care.
HLTINF006 – Apply basic principles and practices of infection prevention and control
Learn how to maintain hygiene and prevent the spread of infection in care environments.
HLTWHS002 – Follow safe work practices for direct client care
Develop skills to identify hazards, manage risks, and ensure safety for both clients and workers.
