Expression of Interest – Non-Executive Director (AI)

UNE Partnerships Pty Ltd (UNEP) is seeking expressions of interest from a suitably qualified and experienced person interested in a non-executive Board member role. This person will need to have the required capability to drive the adoption and use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies within UNEP, as well as have a high standard of governance and strategic oversight for an initial three-year term.

UNE Partnerships is governed by an independent Board of Directors and supports the vision and strategy of the University. UNE Partnerships is one of Australia’s most progressive Registered Training Organisations specialising in vocational training programs that are nationally recognised.

UNE Partnerships has an active Board and a strong management team which has resulted in it being on the cusp of substantial growth. The Board is seeking nominations from persons who are passionate about the University of New England and the value of higher education generally, who are high standing in the community and who have experience and skills in financial management which will contribute to the function s of UNE Partnerships Board.

There are typically five (5) board of director meetings held each year and for board meetings, successful candidates can generally expect to travel to Armidale at least once or twice a year, to Sydney for one meeting, and may attend meetings remotely on other occasions. Board members may also be invited to UNE Alumni events and functions. The board member role is a paid position to be determined by the Board, and the University meets travel, accommodation costs and other pre-approved expenditure relating to board meeting attendance.

There are currently four Directors and a Company Secretary. The Board is looking to grow to five Directors within the next year.
